The work proposes that the non-profit sector in Russia ensures social and political stability, enhances the standards of life of the population, stimulates the sustainable development of the country, and is in itself the organizational basis for a civil society. Non-profit organizations prodide social, philanthropic, cultural, educational, scientific, and managerial services. The work shows the composition of the non-profit sector, its finance, and its use of revenue towards public services, social innovations, employement, and the developement of democracy in Russia. The work also shows how these effects help promote the national economy of Russia. Finally, there is a comparison between the Russian non-profit sector to those of other countries through a series of graphs and statistics.
