On February 16th, 2019, Nadezhda Kosareva, President of IUE, has been honored with the International Leontief Medal for Contribution to Economic Reforms and became the Laureate for the year 2018. Nadezhda Kosareva has been awarded for her outstanding achievements in reforming the housing sector of Russia’s economy.
In February 2005, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of V. Leontief, the Leontief Centre’s Public Committee decided to institute a medal for Contribution to Economic Reforms. According to the Award Statement the medal is given to outstanding Russian and international scholars and specialists who contribute personally to the development of economic science, creation of effective institutions of market economy and conditions for sustainable economic growth.
